Windows Operator Panel is a "switchboard" or receptionist utility used to help managing calls on Asterisk servers. It has been designed for these companies that want to expedite call reception, allowing receptionists to check the status and location of any user they want to pass a call through. In contrast to other utilities, Windows Operator Panel (WOP) has been designed to make the operator's work station more flexible. Every function is accessible from the keyboard. Furthermore, it provides a quick search field where you can easily check hundreds of extensions and find any employee. You will be able to search by name, last name, department, etc...
The utility is designed to work in a multi-receptionist and multi-location environment. Multi-receptionist: the utility can work seamlessly between any number of receptionists addressing several inbound calls, in a way that every call is assigned to just one operator. Multi-location: it can work seamlessly between interconnected locations so any user location is safe in a list allowing the operator to know where evertone is connected at any time.
WOP allows integration with third-party software, like PhoneOCS, making it possible to share a common directory, and allowing the operator to interactuate with the final user receiving messages like the status or where to forward the call if needed. It provides more control over calls to the final user sharing significant information with the operator.
The operator has a broad range of options to inform the user of missed calls while he was unavailable. It can be done sending emails to the appropiate email account, an SMS warning the user or a pop-up from the PhoneOCS. WOP is distributed in some different versions, including a free version for those companies with 30 or less users or for non-profit companies. Pro version will be available soon. |
